*This role can be permitted to work with a Hybrid Schedule. Expectations are to work remotely 2 days per week. Onsite days are expected 3 days per week.

Job Description
The Graham White Controller is the key financial lead and critical team member for the Salem, VA location. This position will be responsible for all financial and reporting for this location and will work with all departments to improve the profitability of the company.
This position will manage local and outside accounting teams and will ensure complete and accurate reporting. This position will also mentor local Finance team to improve their ability and to expand their knowledge.
This position is a key member of the Graham White management team. The Controller will be a business partner with the General Manager. As part of the team, the Controller will create processes for weekly tracking of core metrics; improve inventory costs and levels; review and implement new programs to improve cash flow from operations.
The responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:
- Monitor and analyze financial (P&L, B/S, and Cash Flow) activity, business metrics, and KPIs by evaluating the performance and adherence against company targets; identify the nature of variances and report insightful and actionable remediation plans to senior leadership
- Mentor and develop new and existing team members to improve knowledge and depth of team; work with team to develop their career growth
- Work with divisional and Corporate teams to understand the definition and calculation of metrics; help educate manufacturing and operations teams on financial metrics and how they correlate to operational performance
- Lead planning cycles including developing annual Budgets, monthly forecasts, and weekly projections; work with Marketing team to understand changes in market and market share
- Develop, implement, and consolidate reports that will provide timely financial and operational results to management; leveraging data analytics to help drive real-time insights, improve data availability and visualizations, and ultimately provide business teams with more tailored and nuanced info upon which to drive business decisions
- Identify unfavorable variances and trends and then work with local teams to correct core issues on a weekly basis
- Work with teams to develop best practices across the group and support any business
- Responsible for managing financial information requested by auditors; Federal and State government agencies and institutions
- Perform other such duties as may be required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting
- CPA / MBA, preferred
- 10 years of accounting experience with 5 years’ experience in comparable position in the manufacturing industry
- Desired Characteristics:
- Strong verbal, written, cross-functional, and communication skills
- Work as part of a team – working together to ensure groups meets all core metrics
- Constantly driving for process improvements; be dedicated to removing non-value-added work
- Ability to execute and solve problems independently
- High knowledge level of Excel; familiarity with HFM; ERP systems
