Candace Owens recently renewed her ongoing feud with Turning Point USA, the non-profit organization founded by Charlie Kirk. In a recent X post, she accused the organization of “attacking” YouTubers for making “thousands of dollars” discussing the investigation into Kirk’s death, while the organization itself allegedly raised “a quarter billion” over the past few months.
For those uninformed, Charlie Kirk, a conservative political commentator, was fatally shot in the neck during an event at Utah Valley University on September 10, 2025. Erika Kirk, Charlie Kirk’s wife, took over as the organization’s CEO following her husband’s death.
Meanwhile, Candace Owens, a good friend of Kirk’s and a former member of Turning Point USA, has promoted several conspiracy theories online following the conservative activist’s death. She also suggested that the leadership of the non-profit was allegedly involved in the assassination.
On January 27, 2026, Candace Owens took to X to accuse TPUSA of shamelessly “attacking YouTubers for making “thousands of dollars” discussing the flaws of the investigation,” while allegedly raising approximately $250 million following Kirk’s death.
“I’m still stuck on the fact that Turning Point raised a quarter billion over a few months and felt zero shame attacking YouTubers for making “thousands of dollars” discussing the flaws of the investigation. The shamelessness of that PR strategy is absolutely wild to reflect on,” she wrote.
Candace Owens’ recent X post came amid YouTuber Zach de Gregorio, host of the podcast Wolves and Finances, alleging that he received a cease-and-desist from Turning Point USA after questioning the organization’s finances. He further claimed that the letter mentioned him pointing out contradictory statements about the use of drones at the event where Kirk was killed.
In a video on January 18, 2026, Gregorio spoke about the alleged cease and desist letter and claimed that TPUSA accused him of making defamatory comments.
It is unclear where Candace Owens got the information that Turning Point USA has raised a quarter of a billion dollars in the past few months. But this is not the first time the podcaster has purported such claims.
In one of her X posts on January 22, Owens alleged that a former TPUSA employee was terminated from her job because she had mentioned she was not “fond of Erika’s leadership style,” adding:
“Another young woman thought she was going in for a bonus because they had worked so hard on Amfest and have not stopped since Charlie’s assassination. Despite 250 million dollars raised since Charlie’s assassination, she was fired. No reason given. She believes Turning Point may have installed some sort of spyware on their company laptops because the previous evening, she had communicated to another Turning Point employee that she wasn’t fond of Erika’s leadership style.”
Candace Owens slammed TPUSA for sending cease and desist to YouTuber
Candace Owens heavily condemned TPUSA for allegedly sending a cease and desist letter to Zach de Gregorio. For context, Gregorio had pointed out the inconsistencies about drone usage during the event where Charlie Kirk was killed.
In one of his earlier views, he claimed that Frank Turek, Charlie Kirk’s supposed mentor, told Megyn Kelly that there were drones in operation at Utah Valley University the day Kirk was assassinated. However, Brian Harpole, the head of Kirk’s security, claimed that the event did not have drones because the university was near an airport during a podcast appearance.
In his video on January 18, Gregorio alleged that TPUSA told him one drone was present at the university for media purposes, adding that the organization sent him a legal letter accusing him of making defamatory statements.
That same day, Candace Owens reacted to the news and called it “terrible” for TPUSA to send a cease and desist letter, alleging that someone inside the organization detested Erika Kirk and was feeding her “terrible ideas.”
“Difficult to put into words how terrible of an idea it was for Turning Point USA to send out this Cease and Desist letter… I’m at the point where I think someone internally absolutely detests Erika and permanently feeds her terrible ideas,” Owens wrote.
Owens also offered her “consulting services” to the organization for a “monthly retainer” to “end this corporate s**t show,” adding:
“It’s the only thing that makes sense at this point. I again offer my consulting services to TPUSA. For a monthly retainer, we can end this corporate shit show.”
On January 21, 2026, Candace Owens took to her Instagram Story to claim that Turning Point USA had sent her a “legal letter” amid her ongoing feud with the organization and its CEO, Erika Kirk. In one of her X posts in early December, Owens claimed that Charlie Kirk was “betrayed by the leadership of Turning Point USA and some of the very people who eulogized him on stage.”
Following this, Candace Owens and Erika Kirk met for a four-hour conversation to resolve their differences. However, the meeting did little to stop Owens from purporting her theories about Charlie Kirk’s assassination.
