Northwest China’s Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region saw its foreign trade surge 67.7 percent year on year to reach 14.67 billion yuan (about 2.2 billion U.S. dollars) in the first seven months of 2022, according to local customs authorities.
Of the total, exports rose 83.8 percent year on year to 12.08 billion yuan, said Yinchuan customs.
During this period, Ningxia’s foreign trade with the European Union, the United States, and the ASEAN stood at 3.12 billion yuan, 1.49 billion yuan, and 1.33 billion yuan, respectively, up 111.9 percent, 89.3 percent, and 16.1 percent from the previous year.
From January to July, the imports and exports of private enterprises reached 10.29 billion yuan, up 75.4 percent year on year.
