Job description: We are looking for a driven, hard working individual to join our team as a maintenance technician. Duties may include but are not limited to plumbing, electrical and HVAC maintenance as well as any other duties assigned by the Maintenance Coordinator. We’re looking for a professional who can take initiative and help anticipate problems before they occur. A maintenance tech often needs to communicate effectively with tenants, visitors and anyone else he or she encounters on the job.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Consistent punctuality
  • Preferred experience in: Plumbing, Electrical, Drywall Repair, Painting, Appliance repair, Landscaping
  • Well versed in customer service
  • Possess excellent time management skills
  • Ability to problem solve in the field
  • Ability to work unsupervised as well as in a group setting
  • Familiar with hand tools
  • Reliable transportation is a must
  • Ability to lift 50lbs

Maintenance Technician Duties and Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:

  • Evaluate, repair and maintain plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems in the building
  • Wall construction, repair and painting.
  • Communicate with Maintenance Coordinator about any work that requires outside expert assistance
  • Receive and respond to tenant reports of maintenance issues on their premises
  • Work with tools and supplies necessary to complete projects
  • Maintain safety procedures at all times while complying with access control regulations
  • Perform diagnostics as well as repairs on malfunctioning equipment units and broken structures
  • Quality check equipment regularly to ensure everything is in good working order
  • Follow inspection and repair schedules
  • Perform administrative computer tasks, as needed

Maintenance Technician Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Completion of an apprenticeship under a professional maintenance technician is a plus
  • Strong critical thinking and creative skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to manage time and responsibilities independently
