The most sustainable nutrition plan is one that promotes overall health by eating nutritious foods, but is still enjoyable enough to where you don’t feel deprived.
An easy way to create the best nutrition plan for YOU is to practice incorporating nutrition checks and balances.
Here’s how it works:
Based on your goals and your weekly schedule, figure out what food(s) and drink(s) are indulgences that are worth it to you to enjoy.
Then, make a trade-off with a food or drink that is less-worth it to you during the week.
Like I mentioned, your goals will dictate how many trade-offs you need to make. If your goal is to lose weight, you may not always get to eat the foods that are worth it to you in the quantities you’d like. However, this simple system will allow you to still enjoy foods that are worth it to you while making progress towards your goals.
When it comes to weight loss, restricting yourself to the point where you feel miserable will lead to failure.
Instead, try to prioritize the foods and drinks that are MOST important to you to enjoy, while balancing those out with nutritious choices.
Do you have any ideas of nutrition checks and balances that you can try to incorporate?
