WWE RAW Results: Roman Reigns announces return; shocking twist in CM Punk’s title match; suspended star joins Royal Rumble (1.26.2026)

    AJ Styles kicked off WWE RAW and said that 2026 might be the year that he retires. Styles said that this was going to be his year and that he was going to win the World Heavyweight Championship one more time before he leaves. Gunther would not be able to retire him at the Royal Rumble because, unlike AJ, Gunther isn’t phenomenal.

    CM Punk showed up to the ring and said that there was nothing but respect between him and AJ Styles. He asked AJ if he was sure about putting his career on the line against Gunther and said that the stakes were too high. He wanted to face AJ for the first time inside a WWE ring, and Styles said that he knows he can beat both Gunther and Punk.

    The crowd chanted for them to face each other tonight, and AJ entertained the idea before Punk added that he was willing to put the World Heavyweight Title on the line. Punk made it official for the main event, and the two shook on it before RAW moved on.

    WWE RAW Results: Rhea Ripley, IYO SKY & Stephanie Vaquer vs. Judgment Day

    IYO SKY and Roxanne Perez kicked off the match, and SKY took control early on before a distraction from Raquel Rodriguez allowed Perez to get some strikes in. Vaquer came in and tried to hit the Devil’s Kiss, but it was broken up by Raquel.

    Liv Morgan got a codebreaker on IYO before taking the Razor’s Edge from Rhea, who tossed her into Rodriguez. IYO dropkicked Liv out of the ring before Rhea Ripley came in with the Riptide on Roxanne and got the win.

    Backstage on RAW, CM Punk and Finn Balor thanked each other for a great match last week before Punk told Balor that if he wanted to be taken seriously, he should stop hanging out with losers like Dominik Mysterio.

    The Vision was out next, and Paul Heyman called Adam Pearce out for interfering in their match and putting his hands on Bron Breakker. Pearce came out and apologized for his actions before not only lifting the suspension he had put on Bron Breakker, but also adding all four members of The Vision to the Royal Rumble. Pearce then booked a match between Austin Theory and Rey Mysterio as well.

    WWE RAW Results: Austin Theory vs. Rey Mysterio

    Rey Mysterio got some big moves in early on before Theory hit a Codebreaker. Theory got a big strike off a counter and got a near fall with a big slam before the two landed outside, and Rey got a big Rana into the apron.

    Logan Paul got involved and took a Superkick from Penta before a brawl broke out at ringside. Rey hit a dropkick to help his friends at ringside, but Austin Theory took the chance to hit the stomp for the win.

    The Vision attacked the luchadors after the match. Dragon Lee took a big spear from Bron and a right hook and a splash from Logan. Penta took a spear and the Tsunami before Bron hit a running Tsunami just for good measure.

    Grade: B-

    Natalya was in a promo talking about how she made Maxxine Dupri who she is today, but Dupri failed, and she would no longer tolerate it.

    Gunther was in an interview with Michael Cole and said that he would retire AJ Styles at Royal Rumble.

    Raquel Rodriguez was yelling for a match with Vaquer backstage, and the latter attacked her, resulting in a brawl.

    Je’Von Evans was in an interview and said that he was better and the injury from last week wasn’t too serious. He announced his entry in the Royal Rumble before RAW moved on.

    Roman Reigns’ return was announced for the Royal Rumble.

    Finn Balor wanted to announce himself for the Royal Rumble, but Adam Pearce said all 30 spots were full. Liv Morgan showed up and told her not to trust CM Punk over The Judgment Day. Balor said that it wasn’t that straightforward and walked off.

    WWE RAW Results: American Made vs. Los Americanos vs. Alpha Academy vs. The New Day

    Bravo and Kofi Kingston kicked off the match, and the Creeds tagged in for some big moves before Akira Tozawa came in with a Frankensteiner. Tozawa got some big DDT and a German Suplex before taking all three teams with dives to the floor!

    Tozawa countered Trouble in Paradise before Grayson Waller interfered and dropped him before Jey Uso took Waller out with a superkick. Otis came in and slammed Julius into Brutus before Tozawa came back for a big top rope senton for the win.

    Result: Alpha Academy def. The New Day, American Made & Los Americanos

    Becky Lynch was talking about how she would be disappointed with Dupri if she trained her before Asuka and Kairi Sane came in to warn her about the Royal Rumble. Becky said she was ready for Asuka before The Kabuki Warriors ran off.

    Raquel showed up at the ringside and said that she would take Stephanie’s title before yelling ‘make the match’ at the camera.

    Stephanie Vaquer found Adam Pearce backstage and told him to set up the match for next week on RAW and to make it a ‘fight’. Pearce booked a Street Fight for next week in Philadelphia.

    The Vision was backstage and collectively agreed to make sure Bron Breakker wins the Royal Rumble.

    WWE RAW Results: CM Punk (c) vs. AJ Styles – World Heavyweight Championship match

    CM Punk and AJ Styles traded submission holds early on before AJ took control of the match and got some big moves. Punk got a big clothesline for a near fall before Styles countered the GTS and hit an Ushigoroshi.

    Punk got the flying elbow and tried for the Anaconda Vice before AJ tried for the calf crusher. Punk fought out of the Styles Clash before the champ hit the GTS at ringside.

    Back in the ring, AJ hit the Styles Clash before getting the Pele Kick. Styles and Punk were in the corner setting up a big move when Finn Balor came in, tossed AJ outside, and attacked Punk.

    Result: D.N.F

    Grade: A

    The match was called off, and Balor dropkicked Punk into the barricades before hitting the Coup de Grace in the ring thrice! Balor stood tall in the ring as WWE RAW went off the air.
